Lasting powers of attorney - are you due a refund?

If you applied to register a lasting power of attorney (in England and Wales) from 1st April 2013 to 31st March 2017, you can get part of your application fee back.

The amount you can claim back will depend on when you paid the registration fee. You will also get 0.5% interest. If the donor has passed away since the registration of the lasting power of attorney, the executors of the estate can claim the refund.

If you need any further information about how to make the claim, please go to https://www.gov.uk/power-of-attorney-refund or contact us on 01531 632377.

You must make your claim by 31st January 2021.
