Death certificate price increase!

The price for death certificates increased on 16th February 2019 from £4 at the time of registration to £11 for one certificate.

Families often need to obtain several death certificates for registration at different institutions. The new price increase will see families paying £110 for ten certificates whereas before the price would have been £40.

Some institutions are willing to accept a “death certificate verification form” instead of an official copy death certificate which is a form prepared and signed by a solicitor mirroring the details on the death certificate.
